01
Who this is for
This page is for police, courts, prosecutors, the Information Regulator, tax and other authorities who need information about a RevPulse account. Users with a question about their own information should use the Privacy Policy or the PAIA manual.
02
What we need
We disclose user information only when South African law requires it. A request must come with valid legal process, such as a subpoena under section 205 of the Criminal Procedure Act, a search warrant, a court order or a statutory request from an authority entitled to make one.
- The issuing authority, and the officer's name, rank, official email and telephone number.
- The case or reference number, with a signed copy of the legal instrument.
- The account to search: the email address, business name, invoice number or shop link.
- The records you need and the dates they cover.
03
How to send a request
Email legal@solcol.co.za from an official address. We do not take requests by phone, through the support form or through social media.
If a person's life or safety is in immediate danger, put Emergency in the subject line and say why. We read those first.
04
What we can provide
- Account details: name, email, business details and when the account was created.
- The last sign-in time and the audit log of changes to the account's money records.
- Business records the account keeps in RevPulse, such as invoices, clients, income and expenses.
- Shop orders and payment references.
05
What we do not hold
- Full card numbers. Card details are entered on the payment provider's pages and stay with them.
- App Store or Google Play payment details, which stay with Apple and Google.
- Records already deleted under our retention rules.
06
Requests from outside South Africa
Foreign authorities should apply through South Africa's mutual legal assistance process under the International Co-operation in Criminal Matters Act 75 of 1996. We act on the South African order that results.
07
Telling the user
We tell the affected user about a request before we disclose, unless a law or court order forbids it, or telling them would put someone at risk.
08
Our customers' own records
Businesses keep records about their own clients and buyers in RevPulse. Where a request is about those records, we may ask you to approach the business first, since it decides what it keeps.
